Methods to Improve the Ball Mill Productivity

To improve the ball mill productivity is our final goal in the equipment manufacturing. According to the noise of ball mill, control the magnetic feeder or the belt feeder with the electric ear method, and then control the quantity in the grinding mill and adjust the materials to well-distributed sent in. The information mentioned above will ensure the ball mill in the best working condition, thus improving the ball mill productivity.
1.Strengthen the ventilation inside the ball mill
With certain air speed in the ball mill, the micro mist produced in the grinding process will be taken away in time to reduce the buffer action. It will improve the grinding efficiency and the product will not be affected;
The ventilation speed in the ball mill is different according to different materials, generally the speed is 0.3~1.0m/s.
When the ventilation is in good condition, steam in the ball mill can be discharged in time, the hole won’t be blocked and adhesion phenomenon also will cut down. The temperature inside the ball mill will be reduced and it is very helpful to the ball mill operation and improves the product quality.
To produce strength grade cement usually adopts the low speed; on the contrary higher speed is more suitable.
2.Water spray in the ball mill
There will be much heat produced in the grinding process, and it is no useful to the cement quality and the grinding efficiency. At last it also effect the quantity. Through the atomization, water is sprayed into the ball mill. It will take away the heat inside the grinding mill effectively to realize cooling the mill. Belong to the surface-active substance; water can easily realize the gathered particulate disintegrating.
According to the temperature in the ball mill to decide the water spray, in general it won’t spray if the temperature is less than 1000C.
Besides, the water quantity can be decided according to the grinding material temperature, the water is about 1%~2% of the cement and to ensure all the water is evaporated totally. The water can be sprayed either through the grinding head or the grinding tail. If the material temperature is very high, it is useful to spray from the grinding head, in general, it always sprays from the grinding tail.
Spray water in the ball mill can improve the production capacity 5%~10%.
If adding the grinding aid, it will improve about 10% production capacity, generally the triethanolamine is OK, the mix quantity is about 0.04%~0.1% of the grinding materials.
